Great stay! Had a beautiful scenery, and was super cozy! Only thing that threw me off was when I went to cook some food & the stove wasn’t plugged in, lol. But there was a nice lil restaurant called RedPoint BBQ that was very secluded, and had a nice view of the mountains while you ate!

Such a perfect weekend getaway. Can’t wait to stay here again!

This was an amazing cabin! The porch area was our favorite with the views and hot tub. Had everything my husband and I needed for a romantic weekend away from the kids! No WiFi, which we saw as a good thing to have a tech detox. So close to the gorge and all of the great outdoor stuff to do in the area!

Secluded and off the beaten path

I will recommend to anyone. Didn’t know exactly what I was getting into but I’m so happy I picked this cabin. This is a very quiet get away on the side of a mountain.

Loved this little hidden oasis, the drive was fine in my corolla just be careful on the driveway stay right then hook a left! Everything was perfect!

I loved the secluded feeling the place had it was a great escape from the city and the hot tub was by far my favorite part!

Very cute cabin, quiet, and nice stay. Bring EVERYTHING you need including pillows, throw blankets, extra towels. The host is very good at communicating and accommodating needs! Make sure to have a 4x4 vehicle to get up the driveway

If anything the pictures didn’t do the place justice. Perfect little cabin for a getaway. Very nice and clean and the hot tub overlooking outside was amazing.

Comfortable cabin. We’d read earlier reviews and were prepared for a steep drive to the cabin, but it was manageable. Everything was clean and cozy. Check in and out was easy. We’ll absolutely be back!

Our cabin was perfect for the two of us, we had a fantastic time; exactly what we wanted in the mountains with the cold + the hot tub and the beautiful scenery.

Very, very steep hills, so know what your car is capable of. But also, our host reached out to me about possible inclimate weather and let me know a few days ahead of time there would be snow the night of our arrival to make sure we had it figured out. So I really appreciate that, and their office was very professional about that situation, as well

Had an amazing time. Loved exploring RRG. The checkin lady’s were nice and helpful and told us some good spot to hit up while we stayed. We also really enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking. We would gladly come back again.

Cozy cabin for two in the foothills of some amazing hiking and climbing area. Glad we had the truck to travel up the steep and rutted road. The pine interior and fireplace added to the warmth we needed after long days outside. We appreciated the hot tub! It was in great shape for us. Having the key fob on a lanyard was no problem for us. It was clean and we’ll kept. Having a half bath upstairs is convenient. If you go in the winter bring an extra blanket. We also head mice on the roof and in the walls but it’s winter, they’re looking for a warm spot to! This was a great place to bring in the new year!

Overall the aesthetic and style of the home are very nice and clean. There were some mouse droppings upstairs, but other than that everything was clean. The hot tub was was great. Make sure to check-in first at the bottom of the mountain before going all the way up! As for the driveway, all the reviews are accurate. I was able to get my AWD legacy up it, but not without a tight grip on the wheel. With heavy rain or snow, it would be a challenge for anyone without AWD and near impossible for anyone without. With the metal roof, the rain sounds great, but the critters made quite the ruckus all night. Overall I liked the house and enjoyed seeing things in the area. Main takeaways would be a stern warning about the driveway, heavily dependant on weather, noises at night, and be sure to bring extra towels or blankets.

This is a lovely secluded cabin in the truly "gorge-ous" Red River Gorge. Cabin-living amenities are more than adequate! We recommend it!

Nice cabin feel in woody environment. Secluded with one neighbor cabin that is situated about 100 yds away not facing each other. Everything kitchen wise worked as should along with utensils and dishes. The bed was up in loft area with the 1/2 bath. Full bath on main floor near kitchen. Fireplace and hot tub worked. I would have liked to have had the hot tub serviced while we were there a week.. 2x daily usage. Remote controls needed batteries for 2 out of the 3. The advertised compact washer/dryer was there however the dryer did not heat. We did call and advised not working. As others have mentioned.. can hear some minor traffic from highway since it somewhat carries up from the valley.. not visible thou. Overall a nice secluded cabin for 2.

Nice place to stay! The drive up is rough, 4 wheel drive recommended if not needed. No hair dryer in house for you women. Hot tub was great! Swing overlooking firepit was great. Kitchen was dark to cook in but oh well! The dryer did not heat and that was bad since we were only given 2 towels and we needed to dry them and our swimsuits from using the hot tub. We enjoyed our stay though and would go back.

This cabin was a perfect getaway for two! Very private and secluded! The hot tub was great after hiking all day. The door auto locks when it shuts, so make sure to have the key so you don't get locked out... this could be a big problem if you don't have a phone on you! The driveway wasn't bad for us in our Ford Fusion but it might have been tricky if it had rained. It's basically just a regular Kentucky mountain driveway. I definitely recommend this place and would love to stay again!

Super cozy stay, perfect getaway for a couple

The cabin and hot tub were great! However, you need at least front wheel drive to make it up the gravel drive safely as it was extremely difficult and unsafe in a regular sized sedan.

Robert was quick to respond, and provided us with additional information when we asked for it. If I had to give any futures guests advice, it is to read the instructions provided when given the key.

We LOVED our stay! Such a beautiful cabin and it’s perfectly located. We will definitely recommend this booking to others. Words of wisdom for those who rent next: be careful not to lock yourself out (door locks everytime it closes) and be prepared for a STEEP gravel driveway.

Great porch - can’t beat a hot tub after hiking all day! Cute cabin with the classic steep Kentucky driveway but very manageable. Rocking chairs were the ideal way to take in the rain on a lazy afternoon. Would definitely come back to stay!

- Great cabin, awesome views, great hot tub - pretty much everything was great...except the mattress. Yikes. Would recommend checking with the host to see if it's been replaced before booking. My wife and I are overall fit people, and I typically have no back problems, but I was in some pain after sleeping here. Would certainly book again if the mattress was replaced!

The location is great and secluded! I loved the hot tub addition also. I do wish the bathroom floors were a bit cleaner, there were mouse droppings on the floor when we got there. But overall the stay was great! Cabin was pretty and spacious.
My dogs loved the area by the fire pit and the indoor fire place for nap time.

Southern Comfort was exactly what my fiancé and I needed for a weekend away! It was just the right size and had all the basic necessities to get us through this weekend.

This little cabin was perfect for my husband and I! Our weekend there was full of rain, however we still made the most of it utilizing the hot tub, snuggling on the couch watching movies, and the tree coverage was just enough that we could still build a fire for some quality s’mores. The grocery store, Miguel’s and the Natural Bridge are all very close. We will definitely stay again.
