The cabin was as advertised. Great location & very clean. I was worried about everyone in the reviews saying we needed 4WD, but we were able to get up just fine in our FWD suv.
We very much enjoyed our stay. :-)

Definitely need 4 wheel drive and be cautious if rain going up and coming down the hills!! Beautiful place hot tub was amazing!!

DRIVE SOMETHING WITH 4WD! A car or even an suv will not make it up the drive way. Beautiful location.

Overall good stay, would do again. The drive up to the cabin wasn't terrible just a little bumpy. Close to all the attractions. There's also no wifi in the cabin but we had pretty good service the whole time. It was clean and everything was updated. TV didn't work during the stay due to signal loss but we didn't care to watch TV much anyways. Definitely a good place to stay for the price

Very remote and quiet. Perfect size for two. Ideal destination to get off the grid. Very clean. Needing four wheel drive is no joke, but no problems getting up there with it.

Would definitely book here again. Perfect cabin getaway. It rained the whole time but we loved it.

A great stay! My husband and I rented this place for our anniversary and it was a perfect relaxing stay with great views and fun outdoor things to do around the area. The gravel hill was difficult to get up, but thankfully we had a big car to get up so be mindful of that. Overall great time!

If you want rustic and woodsy this is your place. There's central air and heat so you'll stay comfy no matter the weather, but it's back in the woods, up a long gravel drive, built right into the hillside so when you sit in the rockers on the huge from deck, you're right in the trees. Oh, well, you could also be sitting in the hot tub! Everything you need is here and I appreciated the half bath up in the bedroom loft too.

Just a ten minute drive to the Natural Bridge or Nada Tunnel, and not much further to Red River Rockhouse for some of the best burritos you'll find anywhere.

Great place! Just as advertised, cozy little cabin nestled against the hillside. Definitely recommend having 4 wheel drive getting up to the cabin.

We had a wonderful stay at the Southern Charm! The cabin is perfectly placed in the hills of Daniel Boone National Forest. We felt very safe out and about in the woods. Our dogs loved exploring too! Make sure your SUV has front wheel or all wheel. It’s only accessible by gravel road; which have steep inclines.

Very nice cabin. Private location - could barely see the road or other cabins from the porch.
LOTS of stairs going up to the cabin, and not great TV reception. Wouldn’t recommend for someone with problems climbing stairs - but otherwise was great! Hot tub and A/C worked well, nice rocking chairs on the porch and a nice fire ring. Felt like I was in a tree house when on the front porch :)

Perfect stay right next to the Gorge. Hot tub was nice for after a day of hiking. Loved it.

This cabin is incredibly cute, clean, and cozy. The hot tub worked great. Everything was very clean. I would not recommend someone stay here if they have mobility issues or are afraid of heights. This cabin is located on a hillside and required climbing 3 flights of steps to bring anything up or down. This made for an incredible view of the sunrise and sunset though and an additional workout to our hikes!
I would bring a few extra towels and extra pillows. The 2 pillows provided were very flat and there were 2 bath towels.
Make sure you bring a car with 4 wheel drive. While we were there the steep gravel driveways were being resurfaced. Overall, beautiful stay!

Cute cabin, very clean. Bed was very comfortable & the hot tub was amazing. Recommend taking an SUV to get there as it is difficult to get up the road. Also if it rains be cautious on the steps as they become very slippery. Highly recommend for anyone trying to get away & have some privacy.

Place is homie and comforting. Makes you feel like you can fully relax and not worry about anything. Beautiful views the whole time up there.

Great place and awesome view. Private and Quite. would definitely suggest a suv or truck with AWD or 4×4. Bed could be a little more comfortable. Hot tub works great.

Overall, we had great time in the cabin. The location is great, house was very clean, check in was easy and the staff was extremely friendly.
However, It would be nice if the stairs were covered with antislipery stripes and the kitchen was equiped with the basic items like salt and pepper.
Still highly recommended place!

We found the cabin to be exactly what we anticipated. We enjoyed the location—close to the highway, but far enough to feel secluded even though you can see the Mt Parkway from the property.

Cabin is perfectly sized for a couple’s getaway. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Loved the fireplace, porch and hot tub. Kitchen had everything we needed but we weren’t there to make elaborate meals. No food items were stored there (to be expected).

Bring chairs for sitting by the fire pit (if you wish) and buy some firewood when you get off the parkway! We brought extra towels for the hot tub. We also brought extra pillows and a spare blanket per other reviews.

There are a decent amount of steps to get up to the cabin and yes(!) to needing AWD to get up the gravel road to where the cabins are.

Would definitely stay again, and even talked about doing a bigger family trip and book up all three cabins this group manages that are all at the top of the gravel road together.

Nice spot close to everything you want to do in Red River Gorge.

The place is nice but I’m not sure about the value. I feel it might be better with extra pillows and a heavier blanket, the ones provided were thin and flat, extra towels, some small things like hand soap, a sponge for dishes, and some basic cooking supplies like oil and salt and pepper. There was a fire pit but no chairs to sit in around it.
It was nice but it was really expensive for what you get.

This was a great cabin!! Very secluded and on a mountain gravel road (definitely steep and rutted, we used 4x4!)

Cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway! Make sure you have AWD/4WD as the road up is pretty steep. Oh and there are 38 steps up to the cabin so be prepared. Everything was clean and we had all we needed. Will definitely be back!!

Great place and very secluded! And for anyone reading the reviews from the past there is a new couch in the cabin that is very comfortable!

Good place to stay in RRG, especially if you are planning to spend most time outside. Host was really responsive and helpful. Come prepared with AWD to get to the cabin. But enjoy your stay in this clean, peaceful place. Thanks!

The cabin was very clean and well kept. We enjoyed our stay. I would advise the road and driveway to get to the cabin can be dicey. We were not in a four wheel drive and I wasn’t sure we would make it up. Other than that it was excellent .

Fabulous space.... very comfortable in a rustic setting.... spacious porch with hot tub and views of the sunset. Well situated relative to the parks and trails.... great place to start and end your day. Loved it! We were very impressed with the cabin. It is beautiful. Will be recommending to others and hope to stay again in the future.

This cabin is in a great location. Very quite and nestled into the trees on a nice hillside. Great place for a nice weekend getaway. Not a far drive from any of the popular hiking spots, and not that far off the highway making it easy to get to.
