Romance on the Rocks

First time in RRG and this place was a great choice to stay here! We had zero problems with our super late check in, and customer service was amazing! Highly recommend this for couples looking for a small getaway!

Place was very clean and just what we expected!

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Loved the location. Hot tub placement is one of a kind. Will be back.

A cabin in the Gorge is always great in the Fall. We enjoyed our stay at Romance On The Rocks!

Overall a cute and clean place. Would have given it 5 stars but we couldn'tuse the jacuzzi. We asked 5 star rentals and maintenance for a plug to fill it up. They said they'd call back with a solution but we never got a call. The couch motor stopped and left one side in a permanent recline position which maintenance stated happens all the time.

It had nice kitchen amenities. Had good wifi connection. The water does have a sulfur smell and is soft water so it makes you feel kind of slimy but this is common in this area. There are 65 stairs up to the cabin. The road getting there is very "rollercoaster" like which for us was fun but might not be fun, in bad weather if you don't have 4 wheel drive.

They said we wouldn't be able to use GPS and gave us written directions. However our GPS did take us perfectly there. Very close to Red Point BBQ which has amazing food!

We loved the seclusion of the cabin. There are cabins near by but only one within sight of the parking lot but you still have a lot of privacy given this cabin is high above the road.

It was beautiful and so relaxing

our stay was amazing. the place is better than the pictures. the perfect romantic getaway. bring bubble bath! we ended up staying in the masterbath jet tub more hours than the hot tub! both were amazing. super clean, great location. very secluded and private. fun nights of staying in after a long day hiking. cooking, hot tub nights and bubble baths in the morning. I saw alot of reviews talking about the 64 stairs... yes there are 64 stairs...but that's because you have a cool house on the cliff side. its fine. we were there to hike and be adventurous anyways. worth the stairs, not a big deal. Will be renting this place again! Robert was very responsive and we actually extended our stay an extra night we had so much fun!

The Airbnb was fantastic, we got everything we expected and more. The only downside that turned out as a positive was wifi signal was less than ideal. You don't go to places like this to use wifi though so it was a great get away.

Absolutely stunning! Cannot wait to book this location again. Cabin location is very private, clean, and well maintained. It cannot be beat in terms of being surrounded by nature and a unique stay. Stairs are intense and there are quiet a few so plan accordingly as well as with the terrain to reach cabin. Stairs were well lit at night and felt very safe. Hot tub was perfect and very clean! At check in they did warn us about the possibility of bugs with it being spring but we had no issues at all and maybe found 1-3 dead bugs total. No big deal at all and the stairs are worth the view. It made for a memorable, romantic wedding anniversary indeed! Lots of nice scenic walking to be found even surrounding the cabin we found a lake and a cute waterfall area. Book this place you will love it!

I was looking for a quiet, remote place and this place was everything I wanted and more. We enjoyed the hot tub, grilled out every night, and relaxed in the peacefulness.

We will be back.

AMAZING location! Would stay here again! If booking, I'd recommend bringing a truck as a lot of roads to the cabin are steep/sharp turns. Also make sure you are willing to carry your luggage up some stairs. The cabin and hottub are perfect so it's worth the extra cardio!

Beautiful place to get away.

Beautiful although we got a little lost looking for it at night , we laughed it off and enjoyed our stay. It was like nothing we stayed at before and very unique! It was serene and relaxing .

Great place to stay, we loved it!

If you are looking for a place with great views, great hot tub, private- then this is the place for you!! Great location. Literally minutes from everything. Only cons are the steps-64 to be exact, jacuzzi tub does not have powerful jets (that could just be us because we mainly used the hot tub), there were some lady bugs but you will have that in any location down there and it is that time of year. Luckily they keep to themselves! We were pleasantly surprised by the king sized bed! That was a recent upgrade and it was really comfortable! Also beware of the hills. My car- Chevy equilnox struggled going up 1 hill. It made it, it just gets hairy towards the top!

Great visit and beautiful cabin. Other reviews were accurate on the stairs...pack light with backpacks unless you are fully fit. The view and the hot tub are worth the stairs!

You will never find another place like this! The cabin is literally built into the side of a rock with roughly 80 steps leading up to it. Definitely a place for leg day. The inside was clean and quiet, and the privacy up on the rock behind the trees made everything so peaceful. The hot tub on the back deck sits underneath a rock overhang and is shielded by trees, so we were able to enjoy a relaxing soak after a long day of hiking and kayaking. The bed was very comfortable, which I don't say often while on vacation, and eating breakfast on the front patio and watching the trees sway was beautiful. Make sure to bring a car that can handle going up and down steep hills, although our little hatchback did a fine job.

This was a great cabin in the woods! The hot tub in the rock was really cool and we enjoyed our stay. Be prepared for lots of stairs!

Perfect for a weekend getaway! lots of fun outdoor things to do in the area. I would not recommend for winter months as roads to the cabin are not the best!

The cabin was clean when we got there and the stairs are NO JOKE! But overall the hot tub area was amazing! It was private and clean as well! Highly recommend for anyone!
Robert and his staff are sooo friendly and helped answer any of our questions! Far enough away no one bothers you but close enough to all the activities of Red River Gorge!

You will NOT regret booking this property.

The road to get there is a little sketchy, but it adds to the uniqueness.

Everything was well maintained and positively gorgeous.

awesome place! we were passing through and looking for something off grid. house is really unique and exactly as advertised. I have a large truck and had no issue with road to home. great house great stay. However, if you have alot of luggage you better be in shape for the haul up the stairs!

Good place to go, very secluded and cozy

This cabin was the perfect anniversary weekend getaway in the Gorge! it was close to every spot we could have wanted to hike or experience, and it created a unique place to crash at the end of the day. Clean, comfortable, and the hot tub was so amazing. If you love uniqueness, comfort, and the outdoors, this cabin will be just the place you're looking for.

Robert's place was a pretty cool place to go to down in the mountains. Love the hot tub built into the sandstone that was awesome. When they called it Romance on the rocks that's exactly what it is.

This place was really remote and up there on the rocks! The hot tub placement is unbelievable. There is a great front porch to sit on and drink your coffee. The place was clean and relaxing . We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend it. The only issue we ran into was the indoor jacuzzi. I guess the jacuzzi hadn’t been used In a while and had some dirt buildup on the jets. When we turned them on , dirt blasted into the tub. It was unpleasant. When we alerted them of the issue, they sent someone over to fix it promptly.

This location is awesome, all the little touches are artistic and if you look for a calm and private place, don’t look anywhere else. The rocks and the hot tub were also fun. You have three porches to sit in there and inhale some fresh air.

This was an awesome cabin! I don't think you can get much more secluded than this place! You can hardly see it from the road because it's so far up. The road to get there is gravel and hilly/windy but my wife's Mazda handled it ok. Yes the wifi is spotty but you're in a secluded area so that's to be expected. Put the phones down and enjoy the view from the porch or go soak in the hot tub! Location was relatively convenient as well, as it was only a 30 minute or less drive to everything we wanted to do. I'd definitely stay here again!

A must rent!!!!! The place is super clean & located in the middle of most attractions at the gorge!

My husband and I had an amazing time in the Romance on the Rocks cabin. I would recommend anyone who wants to stay in a cabin to contact 5 star!!! Awesome!!!! All around awesome!!!

We stayed at romance on the rocks for two nights. Was beyond impressed with the cabin. Even better than the picture shows. Check in staff was amazing. Absolutely will be going back soon.

We stayed in the "Romance on the Rocks" cabin. It was very nice, clean, secluded, and romantic. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only issue is that there is a no cancellation policy so be very sure of your plans before booking your stay and you should have a memorable experience.
