Had a great time staying in the cabin. Everything was very clean with a comfortable atmosphere

It was a great place to stay for the 6 of us friends!

The house was as described and the location beautiful. There was plenty to keep us occupied inside on rainy days. It was so soothing to sleep with the sound of rain on the metal roof overhead. The bonfire outside had comfortable seating with a nice view of the stars. Smokers in our group loved the side covered porch for their smoke breaks during rain storms.

The negatives: Very thin walls. So thin I could hear my best friend and her husband whispering to one another when we were all settled in for bed. While the hot tub was relaxing, it was in desperate need of cleaning/chemical refresh. There was also a slight misunderstanding with the host, when a member of mgmt witnessed when a neighbors dog came on the property and they thought we brought an unauthorized pet. So if that happens again, just let them know asap to avoid confusion.

Robert’s cabin was just what we were looking for in our getaway weekend to the gorge. Easy to get to, beautiful views, hot tub on the deck, & I loved the pool table! Very close to many trails as well. We hope to visit again!

very secluded and right in the mountain. good location, very homie, hot tub was nice even in the cold weather. check in was easy and just down the road. it was all together a nice get away and will do again!

My wife an escaped the world for 4 beautiful, peaceful days. The cabin had everything we needed. The cozy living room and hot tub we're so relaxing. The house has so much charm. We'll definitely be back.

We were scheduled to arrive at the tail end of a snow/ice/arctic blast. The staff at 5 Star Resorts contacted us with the potential for bad weather and the need to possibly reschedule. Throughout the Christmas Holiday the staff continued updating the status of our arrival. We did have to delay a day, but we're able to stay a day later.

We had a wonderful visit. The cabin was perfect for our little group. We spent many hours shooting pool and just enjoying our friends.

Not many local options for eating and a few places were even closed (possibly the holiday), that we were hoping to visit.

A group of 5 of us stayed at the cabin, and we loved it! Everything was clean and well maintained. A tad pricey for the size of the cabin, and one of the beds was a loft (no privacy). Still a great stay, and we'd go back!

Great cabin. Very well stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Super clean and well thought out space. Supper close, but far enough away, to everything.

Great cabin. Pool table was entertaining. Kitchen was great for cooking breakfast. Fire pit was a great gathering spot for me and my adult kids to share memories. Beds were super comfy.

Incredible cabin! It was cozy, quiet, and so close to everything to do in the gorge. It was the best stocked kitchen I have had with an Airbnb! You have to check in at their office, but it was an easy process - the office is right off the interstate and 5 minutes from the cabin. The hot tub + cabin was just what we needed for a relaxing getaway.

This is a great location if you want a cabin in the woods. Very peaceful, tons of privacy, and super close to great hiking spots!

Had such a great time here with our group! I actually feel like the listing undersold the ammenities. The kitchen was fully stocked, there were games, a tv with fire stick, and it seemed like function was the primary consideration in every inch of the place. Awesome balcony and hot tub too!

Listing is very accurate, we’ll stocked kitchen, we’ll organized and clean! It was very nice that everything was labeled clearly and the beds were very comfortable. Great stay in the Gorge!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay! It seemed pretty well-maintained and the amenities were great. Super close to all of the hiking trails, Miguel’s, etc… checking in and out was quick and simple as well.

This stay is unbelievable! A beautiful home with everything you need. An extremely well stocked kitchen, all of the cool amenities on the first floor, comfortable (firm) mattresses, plus the people renting out the cabin are super sweet. Everything about this cabin just exudes thoughtfulness and professionalism. I hope I get to stay here again, because this has been the best AirBnB experience I’ve ever had.

Beautiful cabin nestled in the woods lent itself for a very chillaxing weekend. We were able to enjoy all Natural Bridge had to offer from very close proximity and then return to the cabin to enjoy peace and quiet together. Thanks for sharing your great cabin with us!

Great experience. Great location for Natural bridge hikes and not too far from some of the others. The home was super clean and had games, a pool table, and hot tub for downtime. Thank you for a great first time at Red River Gorge!

10/10 recommend Mountain Retreat! Great location, open cabin, pool table, hot tub and camp fire ring. Very clean and great for any trip. I recommend backing into the drive way so that it’s easier to get on the road leading up to the cabin. The road to the cabin is very curvy, hilly and basically one lane. Other than that highly recommend this place for your next trip!

This is the perfect place to stay in a beautiful area with a ton of beautiful hiking, kayaking and exploring! The house is clean, the beds are comfy and the staff give great suggestions for where to eat locally when you check in and maps for hiking. Highly recommend!!

Perfect location for hiking Red River Gorge & Natural Bridge. Place was private, unique, & fun for the kids with the pool table & hot tub.

We had a great time at this cabin. It is in a great location. We were there for the SUP Kentucky clear kayak tour and then did a lot of hiking. it is such a beautiful area. Would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for things to do, the lady at the Slade Welcome Center was VERY helpful.

We spent the weekend with the kids at Mountain Retreat and it was wonderful! The cabin was as advertised and immaculate. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, bowls, silverware, etc. The ladies at the check in cabin were friendly and welcoming. The kids enjoyed playing pool and games at the large kitchen table. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a getaway!

This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends! We loved spending time in the hot tub and using the pool table! Definitely worth the trip!

The cabin was beautiful! My family loved the hot tub, pool table & games. The kitchen was stocked with all essentials to cook with & the washer & dryer was a great plus as well!!! The location was just perfect! Definitely would stay here again!!!

May bring towels for hot tub use to save washing and drying.
Parking can be tricky if you have more than 2 vehicles.... narrow driveway....

Such a nice cabin! Perfect for a girls get away. Such comfy beds, lots of drink ware, everything we needed. Driveway a bit tricky but the house is lovely.

We’ve stayed here twice and can’t wait to come back again! We love the location, and the amenities (fire pit, grill, hot tub and pool table) make it a great home base in RRG. Robert is a great communicator and the place has been sparking clean with all the basics you need both times we stayed. Would definitely recommend!

The house is great! Kitchen well stocked, very clean, tastefully decorated - very homey, lots of windows. Good location near restaurants and trails. Houses are around but far enough away. Driveway to house a bit tricky but paved. Would stay there again. :)

Our family of 5 had a great visit to the area. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking in and it was close enough to restaurants for carry out. Every hike we did was a 20 min drive or less from the home. Our kids loved the pool table and hot tub.

The Mountain Retreat was a great home base while checking out Red River Gorge. Super clean and very comfortable. Backing into the driveway was better than trying to turn into it from the long and steep drive going to the cabins. Couldn’t have asked for a better space. The folks at the office were nice and happy to help with suggestions.

This was the perfect place for a quick get away. It had everything we needed and more than what we expected.

If you are looking for a great place to stay in RRG look no further. The location was secluded and picturesque. The hot tub was great and we really enjoyed the pool table. The kitchen is well equipped for anything you might need. The place was sparkling clean when we arrived and we really appreciated the little stock of cleaning materials provided (dishwasher tabs, windex, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc.) We wish we could have stayed longer.

A wonderful place to spend the weekend. Comfortable, spacious, cozy, well equipped. We felt very much at home and wished we had a few more days to stay. Great location used to explore Red River Gorge area and hikes. Fireplace and hot tub are always welcome and feel very nice after a long day outside. As previous guests mentioned, metal roof makes for wonderful rain sounds. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a family weekend trip to RRG. We stayed at Mountain Fantasy and it was wonderful. Great location to Natural Bridge , restaurants, and trail heads. We will definitely be back. It was very clean and with great bedrooms too.

The cabin was truly amazing. We enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. Just what we needed after a long hike in the RRG! We will definitely be booking again next year.

Great location and this cabin had all the amenities that one would need without having to bring anything extra. Pristinely clean. Beds where clean, with nice linens and very comfortable. Beautiful view in the treetops.

The cabin was perfect! My husband couldn’t believe I found such a great place and never wants to rent a different cabin. I loved the kitchen which was stocked with more kitchen gadgets and better cookware than anywhere I’ve ever rented. Blender, mixer, crock pots, microwave cookers, etc. The pool table was nice. The hot tub was maintained and had plenty of chemicals in it. No complaints at all other than having to leave to go back home.

The place is more than I expected. Very beautiful location. Equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen. The house was very clean and very quite area. There was so much to do within 15 minutes of any direction you went. It truly is a perfect place for a weekend away!
