Very quaint and homey. Had almost everything we needed amenity wise, but seemed to have a bit of a roach problem in the kitchen. Beautiful location.

We really enjoyed our time at Campfire Memories. We had our family’s Thanksgiving here over the weekend and had everything that we needed to prepare a delicious feast!
We all had a great time and didn’t want to leave at checkout time.
The drive up is steep and the road is narrow, but the views are amazing!! We would definitely stay here again!!

Great cabin! Only concern is the drive way. Definitely recommend 4WD vehicle!

Incredible hosts, beautiful area, quiet, peaceful, and so close to everything. We discovered La Cabana Mexican restaurant this time and Daniel Boone Coffee. They were both incredible.

Campfire Memories is a wonderful cabin in the forest. With only a sort drive we had access to Natural Bridge and RRG trails and beauty. We enjoyed our 5 day stay, it was very comfortable. The road to get to the cabin is very steep. It would be hard to get there without 4 wheel drive in the winter.

Very good cabin overall. Close to the freeway, quite a bit of noise outside, which is not too bothersome, because of trees covering road. No noise inside at all. Nice jacuzzi and outside fire pit. Grill is very small, but does the job. We were not too picky about cleanliness- most important shower, bathrooms and three beds were clean. Found somebody’s socks under the bed, lots of spider webs and some food crumbs, but it’s a cabin in a woods after all. Had nice new towels for our stay, just four or five of them though, but we just hang them to dry after use and we’re fine ( you can bring your own or wash them in a cabin if you like clean towel each use). Two beds in a loft upstairs, one in a bedroom downstairs and found cot in the closet. You will need your own sheets and pillowcases for extra sleeping spots. Extra pillows and extra blankets looked old and not washed ( imho). Kitchen had all needed supplies for stay and cooking. Knifes are dull ( we had our own). Small gas fireplace in a living room makes it very cozy. If you are expecting five star hotel, it’s not, but for a cabin it’s very nice overall and location is great! Also owner responds fast and answers to all questions in details. Check in was easy. We enjoyed our stay!

Loved that this cabin was close to Natural Bridge State Park! It was very quiet during our stay and we would love to return .

Good cabin for what we needed. The hot tub and fire pit were great. Being close to the park and the restaurants were a plus. We found a cot in the closet and were able to put our toddler in the downstairs bedroom (with a door) and still hangout after bedtime. The biggest downside was the noise from the interstate. It was so loud, especially at night.

We had a great experience. The cabin was great. The hot tub was a plus every evening and the fire pit was fun. The cabin was clean, the location was great. It is close to the highway but that did not bother us at all. Great views. It was only a short drive to hiking and zip lining. The ladies at check-in were fantastic. Here are some things you may want to bring. Kleenex, scissors, can opener, potholders and extra towels. Every place is different on what is available. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would stay in one of Roberts cabins again. We would also refer anyone we know visiting the area to stay in one of his cabins too.

First, three "caveats" ..... 1) as others have commented, the location is not immune to noise from the nearby Mountain Parkway. You can hear cars, however it's not like being next to, say, I-75 or 64. It didn't bother us - besides, we needed a place with decent cell service (I'm on call for my job). 2-3 bars for AT&T. 2) Speaking of internet service, they do have wi-fi, but they specify that it's not for streaming; there are hard data limits. Would suggest bringing offline matter for your phone, or a good data plan of your own. (We have a 32GB plan, so we didn't even tap into the wifi :-)) and 3) The hill leading up to this cabin is really steep. Definitely recommend AWD or a hardy FWD vehicle.

None of the above were dealbreakers for us. It was a wonderful little place. There's Dollar General and Kroger about 10 miles away for any forgotten things (never fails). The heat worked very well. And steaks on the campfire were heavenly!

This was a really great cabin! I love the open kitchen concept, and the location is exceptional. It's one of the best cabins I've been to regarding stays at The Gorge.

The cabin is near a highway, but we didn't have any issue with it other than some late-night honking every now and then.

This cabin was lovely! Very centrally located in the gorge and super easy to find. The cabin itself was very clean and had most every amenity we needed. We traveled with our two kids and this cabin was perfect for them, ages nine and 10. They loved the hot tub and fire pit!

The cabin made for a wonderful little get away. It was clean and cozy. The bed upstairs was not the comfiest but the one downstairs made up for it. The hot tub was so relaxing. It was close to everything. I would definitely come back and stay again.

Only downfall is the washer and dryer was torn apart during our stay. We were not notified of this but luckily we brought wayyyy too many clothes so it worked out.

Wow! Our cabin was perfect for our eastern Kentucky getaway. Excellent location to explore the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge. The cabin was really clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and campfire area daily. Tons of room
especially for the price. We already can’t wait to come back!!! Thank you for being a huge part of our special memories.

This cabin will not disappoint! The views are incredible, and the cabin was clean and cozy. Just don’t forget to pack your own spices and kitchen ware if you are particular. They provide very little additional amenities like salt, pepper, blenders, cooking spray, etc.

This was a great weekend get away. Cabin was beautiful. The view was amazing. The cabin was very clean and had everything provided that we needed. The only issue we had was the drive up to the cabin. It was very steep and rough but was well worth it. The directions we received when picking up the keys were not very clear on how to get to the cabin so we had a little issue finding it but once we did had no problems navigating around after. We will definitely be visiting again!!!

Nice cabin. Great location. Clean and comfy.

It’s challenging to get up the steep drive and it is tricky to park. We learned to back into our spot, to make getting out easier.

Maybe it’s because of COVID, but the cabin was sparse. No salt and pepper or oil or Pam spray so bring your own. No dishwasher soap. Few plates, so I hand washed a lot. No box of tissues. No board games, books, etc. Again, maybe the cabin was lacking these things because of COVID, but be prepared to BYO lots of things. That’s why I gave the Value rating only 4 stars.

Enjoy hiking the Red. We did!

Robert was very quick to respond to our messages. The beds were comfortable and sheets were soft. Cabin was clean! My kids loved the loft. Location was VERY convenient to all of the hikes we wanted to do. Some ideas to add to the cabin - board games, matches or lighter for the campfire, menus for local restaurants, local tips, maps/brochures of the area. None of this was advertised, so we were not deceived in anyway. It's just that these items have been included in the other AirBnBs we've stayed in. Heads up - many restaurants nearby are closed on Mondays! Thanks for a great family getaway!

Excellent dog-friendly cabin! Overall the cabin, bedding, and hot tub was clean and comfortable. The cabin sits up high on a hill/cliff facing the highway but it’s very peaceful and quiet. This is the second cabin we booked through Robert and would definitely stay here again!

Check in was easy, the place was super clean, and they even drained/refilled the hot tub for us. Hot tub worked great, location was great, and any interactions I had with staff were fantastic.
Spacious and clean... by Jim 05/28/2019
Spacious and clean place in a great location to explore Natural Bridge State Resort Park and Red River Gorge.
This place was awesome!! by Anna 05/19/2019
Definitely 5/5 stars. This place was awesome!! We loved the convenience of being close to all the attractions yet not being in the middle of town. We really enjoyed hiking all day and then coming back to the cabin for a board game and relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin was very clean, and the beds slept great.
We were so pleased with the cleanliness.... by Lynore Yates 07/07/2018
My son and I rented Campfire Memories when he was in a wedding at the Gorge. We were so pleased with the cleanliness of the cabin and the friendliness of the staff of 5 Star Rentals! We were more than comfortable, and it was so appreciated that it was pet friendly and we were welcome to bring our German Shepherd. Perfect weekend! Thank you!
