Good soggy morning everyone! It was nice to get some rain though, it makes the foliage much greener and the gardens grow. Can’t complain about that.
Speaking of foliage, the trees are back in full bloom. Check out the pictures to see for yourself. We went fishing on the Red River yesterday evening at Indian Creek and it was beautiful. A couple of pictures were taken at Mill Creek Lake a month or so ago, and the picture of the sky lift were taken yesterday too!
There is a lot of stuff to do in Red River Gorge area, mostly outdoors. Of course, there is fishing at two awesome locations, Red River & Mill Creek Lake. You can go canoeing/kayaking at either location also. Red River Gorge offers endless hiking and rock climbing. There is a place called Torrent Falls that offers guided rock climbing if you’re new to it but would like to give it a try. There are two exciting zip lines, and a new ropes aerial course. If you’re tired of being on your feet, or just want to see something gorgeous, you can take a 34 mile scenic drive around the Red River Gorge. You will see things like the Nada Tunnel, large rock formations, maybe some wildlife, and a lot of other sights. And last but certainly not least, there is the sky lift up to the Natural Bridge. There are plenty of souvenir shops in the area, as well as three restaurants to stop and grab a bite to eat after a long day of adventuring.
